FCC Grants 16 Non-Commercial Radio Permits

FCC released a Memorandum Opinion and Order entitled "Threshold Fair Distribution Analysis of 16 Groups of Mutually Exclusive Applications for Permits to Construct New Noncommercial Educational FM Stations".  In November 2021 the FCC had a filing window for nonprofits to apply for new non-commercial radio licenses.  The FCC grants the winners of these channels in batches via these MO&O decisions.  Specially, when multiple applicants apply for one open radio channel, the FCC applies a technical grading criterion to judge which application is superior within the group and grants that single applicant the radio license.  The rest of the applicants within that group are dismissed.
